What better excuse than to post a few more swingin’ and stylish tunes?  We’ll be DJing from about noon, inbetween the cakes, Crabbie’s and the clothes…  Full details here and some tunes after the jump.

If you can’t get enough of that horn riff from “Hold On I’m Comin’”, this bit of New Orleans R&B should do nicely:

Former James Brown Revue and Johnny & Otis Show backing singer Sugar Pie DeSanto (Umpeylia Marsema Balinton to her mom) is probably best known for “In The Basement”, her duet with Etta James, but she’s got plenty of killer tracks of her own.  Unbelievably, Chess let her go after Go Go Power failed to chart.

Sugar Pie DeSanto – Slip-In Mules

Sugar Pie DeSanto – Soulful Dress

This gun’ll kill ya, it’s loaded with fun…

The Cramps – Bikini Girls With Machine Guns

The Bikinis – Crazy Vibrations
